A Satyam of asatyam

Sorry readers, can't wait for sunday and resist the satyam episode. I saw western anti-outsourcing groups jumping up since the satyam "blew their inflated status". First and foremost - Frauds happens everywhere not just India it is a global factor, even in communist countries. India is blamed for Satyam chief's asatyam(fraud in Indian terms); I think we indians are very proud of culture that includes character of sticking to truth. But as Indians we should take the blame seriously - we are tolerating factors that can diminish our culture. It may start from politicians to corporate actions and in family.  

To start it must be with-in family, teach your children to be true else let them face the consequences. My parents always taught me that, so even when girls were sending me love letters during teenage days I was aware of truth that I must get a job first to even think about a true love. This factor of true to yourself is very important though you may not be successful in life but sticking to a true world always keep me going. Parents should manage their children's life till certain age and during teenage years they must change it to friendship and so on. If they don't control the children at very early stage then the friendship will never work. When I said control don't let children do wrong/bad things and make them realize about same.

The greed is another factor that gets into you, it is like drugs. Try to get out of it sooner than later. Satyam's chief did say that he was on a tiger but I think it was not tiger it was a drug, he enjoyed early days, so he decided to stick with it. He always had an option to step down 2 or 3 years back and then take the responsibility of the actions. This might have saved so many satyam employees future. Lets admit that our regulatory walls are not the best, nobody can make it best as businesses can not operate a 100% fraud proof environment but it will be best to have at least 60% proof. I grade India's status as 30% which is good as many western countries are worse than India. I consider USA at just 12% so we are miles ahead.

Lets not overkill all live-stocks just because one dog had broken leg and bleeding ears!!!
